T20 Champions league from 8th October in India

The inaugural edition of the Champions League T 20 tournament will finally be played in India from 8th to 23rd October between different T20 team. The T-20 championship will be played from 8th to 23rd October. In all 12 teams will participate in the inaugural edition.
Three teams from India, Two teams each from Australia, South Africa, England and one spot each from Sri Lanka, West Indies and New Zealand will be in action. With whooping prize money of 6 million US dollars, the draw for the tournament would be held in England during the T-20 World Championship. Champions League tournament was scheduled to be held from 3rd to 10th December last year but was cancelled due to Mumbai attacks.
The tournament is a joint venture by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia (CA) and Cricket South Africa (CSA). Lalit Modi, Chairman, CLT20, said, “I believe we have a concept that will inspire and motivate the future generations of club, state and county cricketers, while accelerating the development of the game globally.” “Our South African experience has taught us that the club concept is slowly but surely being accepted by cricket fans across the world.” James Sutherland, Chief Executive Officer of CA, and Gerald Majola, Chief Executive of CSA, were also present during the announcement.
