England knocked defending champions India out of the T20 World Cup with a three-run victory in their second-Super Eight stage match of the Twenty20 World Cup at Lord's in on Sunday. India needed 32 off the 12 balls to stay in the tournament but, despite a one-handed six by Yusuf Pathan over long-off, the task was too much and they finished on 150 for five.
The England victory silenced the large contingent of noisy Indian fans packed into Lord's and India failed to make the semi-finals after also losing their first Super Eight match against West Indies on Friday.s
The main reason for india's defeat was flop show by Rohit sharma and Raina in the absense of Virendra sehwag and later MS dhoni added some value by being not out 30 runs on 20 balls, he was even not able to hit a single six in his 20 balls innings when india needed 11 run per over. It is good for indian players so that they can do some more endorsement in free time.

Definitely, players will get more time for endorsement.
ReplyDeleteOne another reason was greedy nature of BCCI, where they were more concerned for IPL. No one can get both egg and baby.
thats true gyandeep... indian team should take care about sports.... agar haroge to dhoni ke biskit bhi nahi bikenge/
