Meenas will Support 5% Reservation to Gurjar

The reservation fight between Gurjar and meena community from last 1 year is now moving to solution. Last year, BJP gvernment announced a 5% reservation for Gujjars under a special category. Now after a year later, the Meena community, which has never made peace with the Gujjars and violently protested their demand for ST status, announced they would not oppose the 5% reservation. Both community leader meets today at Jaipur and take a positive step. Meena leader Kirorilal Meena made announcement at jaipur after meeting organised by the state government. The meeting was called to get the two communities to reach a compromise.
Gurjar leader Kirorimal Bainsla was looking upset as per his statement to media “the government is not committed, It says it will examine the bill, which is only a delaying tactic. There is no time frame.” From this decision Meena have nothing to lose as the 5% reservation is in a special category and won’t eat into their ST quota. Gurjar reservation bill is pending at Governer as it exceeds the 50% reservation cap is, however, subject to legal scrutiny. So we hope both community will think and take a positive step.
