Heavy rains in Rajasthan

Heavy rains lashed most parts of Rajasthan today providing people respite from hot and humid weather conditions, a Met official said. Due to low pressure over southern region, including Karnataka and north Maharasthra, the monsoon will continue for next two days, the official said. The temperature dipped by five to ten degrees at almost all places during last 24 hours due to moderate to heavy downpour, he said. Dholpur and Sarmathura recorded the rainfall of 8 cms, followed by Baran 6 cms, Bari and Nandauti 5 cms each. Jaipur recorded intermittent showers of 0.5 mm. Rajasthan may expect some more rain in next 1-2 days.
Overnight rains lashed many parts of Rajasthan with Chouth Ka Barwarda in Sawai Madhopur district recording maximum rainfall of 6 cm, the Met office said here on Sunday. Chouth Ka Barwarda, Jhalawar, Sawai Madhopur and Kota recorded 5, 4 and 3 cm rains respectively till this morning, it said. It also rained in Dabok, Chittorgarh and Jaipur
