Adani Power Rajasthan Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Adani Power Limited, has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LoI) by the Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RRVPNL) for purchase of up to 1,200 mw of power on a long-term basis. With this, the total long-term power sale arrangement firmed up by Adani Power comes to 5,900 mw. Adani Power already has PPAs for 2,000 mw with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), for 1,424 mw with Haryana Utilities and 1,320 mw with Maharashtra Utilities through its subsidiary, Adani Power Maharashtra Limited (APML).
It is a matter of distinction for Adani Power to have won all these bids under Case-I competitive bidding. Case-I bids are the ones where the developer takes full responsibility for project development and commits to supply power through competitive bidding process. Adani Power is the only power company in India with PPAs of nearly 6,000 mw under Case-I bidding.
