All members of Mathur panel resign

All members of Mathur panel resign a day after Rajasthan High Court observed that there was no ambiguity in its order declaring the constitution of Mathur Commission as illegal, all the three members of the panel, including its chairman Justice N N Mathur (retd), sent their resignations to the chief minister.
The commission was constituted by the current government in fulfilment of Congress’s election manifesto promising an inquiry into the alleged Rs 22,000 crore corruption charges against the Vasundhara Raje government. However, advocate general G S Bapna has already advised the government to challenge the high court quashing the Mathur panel through a Special Leave Petition before the Supreme Court.
