Mr Gehlot said his government was committed to the development of non-conventional sources of energy in the state, including solar energy, given the abundance of sunlight in the region. The Foundation has been founded by former US President Bill Clinton and works in the areas of health care, climate change, sustainable growth and economic opportunity. Mr Gehlot recalled Mr Clinton's visit to Rajasthan and the keen interest he had evinced at that time in rural development and dairying activities in the state. Mr Magaziner said the foundation would soon prepare a feasibility report for the development of solar parks in the state and mobilise international resources for the project, including solar energy developers, technology suppliers, sources of credit and investors. An official press release issued by the Rajasthan Government said the foundation had identified Badi Sid and Kansingh Ki Sid in Jodhpur and Bhadla in Jaisalmer as locations for the first solar parks.
