Rajasthan Budget 2010-2011 Highlights, Budget Speech

Chief minister Ashok Gehlot, who also holds the finance portfolio today presents state's budget for the financial year 2010-2011 in the Rajasthan assembly. Presenting the budget for the second time in his second tenure, Ashok Gehlot today focus primarily on development of state even general man didn't get any relief from inflation.

Rajasthan Budget 2010-2011 Highlights:
1. Cheaper: Movie in theater, Solar equipments, Marble, Rudraksha, Food in hotel and restaurant, Two wheeler (Below 100 cc).
2. Costly: Four wheeler (Above 2.5 Lakh), Two wheeler (More than 100 cc), Urban Electricity
3. 400 Crore alloted for Urban development in State.
4. 777 Crore for water supply schemes and 12 crore for drinking water
5. AICTE based payment for Polytechnic colleges lectures
6. Three Crore for woman hostels development in state.
7. Ration for BPL Families at 2 Rs/Kg
8. Pay of NAREGA Sahayak increased to 3500 from 2500
9. Increase in pension for Old persons(750 Rs for 75 Year and more while 500 for below 75 year age)
10. Increase in Pay of Nurses, MNS and Lab technicians.
11. Free medical facility to windows, pensioners and handicapped people and buying of 150 ambulances to strengthen medical facilities.
12. 65000 agricultural connections.
13. 11424 Crore for energy development.
14. 1851 crore for Road development
15.Five new ITI for minorities and 2 crore for Madarasa's
16. New urban development authority for state.
17. Trauma center for Jalor, rajsamand and dausa
18. Payment for technician will be 5500 from 3000
19. ST/SC hostel will be increased to 50 from 25 in state.
20. New hostel for minorities girls in jaipur
21. 25000 gas connections to schools
22. ITI Colllege at Each panchayat samiti to increase skilled worker.
23. Three lakh Mitrik Ton DAP for farmers.
24. Free land to ISRO in Jodhpur
25. Sitapura mart development like Pragati maidan delhi

    This budget do not have too much for highet education ... there must be some scheme to promote IIT Jodhpur and IIM Udaipur alloted this year...

    kya bakwas he, sale narega karmiko ko kuch nahi diya kewal rojgar sahyako ka 3500 kar diya hum fir kya pagal he jo do sal se kam kar rahe he

    NAREGA is i think center govt scheme...so whatever state govt do.. .we can say fine... but there is no job annoucement. gurjar reservation ka paap state kyun do raha h ....we need jobs in state.....

    this budget is not a good budget not even to reduce inflation no provision done. nothing helpfull for middle class.food grain and vegitable.GAREEB AUR GAREEB HOGA AUR AMEER AUR AMEER HO GA. GOVT YE HI CHAHTI HAI.I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GOVT NOT IMPOSED HIGH TAX AND DUTY ON LIQUIR AND CIGARATTE ETC.WHY NOT HELP TO CANCER AND T.B PATIENTS AND PROVIDE FREE MADICINES TO THEM.IF I WOULD THE C.M. OF RAJASTHAN I SHOULD PROVIDE THIS TO ABOVE PERSON.NOTHING HELP FOR AADIWASHI. AND SMALL BABBIES FOOD.

    rojgar sahayak ki salary increase karna sahi h lekin nrega se jude other employees such as j.t.a.,account assistant , sta, deo, mis manager, iec coordinator,complain coordinator,training coordinator ki bhi salary increase ki jani chahiye

    budgets, schemes, programs, system and all are all good on paper. The real question is how best they can be implementated?
    For e.g. budget allocates money for women hostels. Nice, way to go @ women education and empowerment! Hail the effort!
    But how to ascertain that the new hostel buildings are best in class, no corruption and sub-standard construction? What is the mechanism to assure transparency in giving contracts for construction, quality of building material?
    Even after construction what's the financial model for proper maintenance of the Hostels so that the buildings are operational for a long duration and taxpayer's money is not wasted?
