Rajasthan Police has sought permission from the court for narco-analysis test on Devendra Gupta, arrested in connection with the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case. “We have sought permission from the chief judicial magistrate, Ajmer, to conduct narco-test on Gupta and a decision on it will be taken in the next hearing on Monday,” an Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) sources said on Sunday. Investigating agencies inched closer to cracking the 2007 Ajmer dargah blast and other terror attacks targeting Muslims, including Malegaon and Hyderabad, when on Sunday they picked up one more person for questioning in Madhya Pradesh. In all, two people have been arrested and two others detained for the Ajmer blast so far. Devendra is suspected to have links with the Hindu outfit Abhinav Bharat – the same group allegedly behind the Malegaon blasts. A blast at Ahat-e-Noor of the Dargah in Ajmer on October 11, 2007, before the devotees were breaking Ramzan fast, had claimed three lives with Hindu right-wing groups suspected to be involved in it.
