Rajasthan university admission get huge response

Rajasthan university admission's first day got huge response from students. The forms are available at various college counters from Tuesday. “Not many students had come to collect the forms on the first day. We sold 350 forms and hope the sales will increase in the coming days,” said Kusum Jain, principal, Maharani Girls’ College. “Things were much better last year. I am saying this because we sold 7,000 forms last year,” she added. Commerce College was the only exception with the authorites selling 465 forms in a day. “I am hoping to get admitted here,” said Neelama Saxena, who had been to Maharani College with her friends. The number of students who submitted their application forms on the first day was much less than last year. Most of the students took the forms home. “It’s better to discuss the subject combination with seniors and friends before taking the final decision,” said Prithvi Rawat, student at Maharaja College. Bhupendra Shekhawat, spokesman of Rajasthan University said, “This year, the admission process is very simple compared to previous years. Students can download admission forms online from the website www.uniraj.ernet.in.” The last date of acquiring forms is June 16. The first cutoff list is likely to be released on June 21,” added Shekhawat. Meanwhile, members of the students’ unions, instead of helping out freshers with the admission process, were seen trying to impress them.
