RSRTC Bus fares may rise in Rajasthan

Journey by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation(RSRTC) run buses is expected to become costlier. According to the official sources the state transporter were contemplating move to hike the bus fare by June 15.The Transport Department had already cleared the corporation's proposal and allowed a hike up to an extent of 10 per cent of the existing fare, the sources said. Immediate need of meeting payment liability of Rs 56 crore per annum on account of gratuity and pension, forced the authorities to raise fares, they added.
