Gehlot condemns Former RSS Chief Sudarshan for remark

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today strongly condemned derogatory remarks made by RSS former Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) Chief KS Sudarshan against the Congress President Sonia Gandhi during a programme in Bhopal yesterday. Talking to reporters here this afternoon, Mr Gehlot said ''Comments made by Mr Sudarshan against a woman who has been following the Nehru-Gandhi family's noble path of service to the nation and demonstrated rare example of renunciation -- is highly deplorable and I do strongly condemn the same''.
The Chief Minister said that entire nation knew about the illustrious history and sacrifices made by the Nehru-Gandhi family and Mrs Gandhi also entered the active politics on request from Congresmen ignoring threat and risks to her life and family''. ''Even opting for service of the nation Soniaji had refused to accept the post of Prime Minister'', Mr Gehlot said. It is to recall that talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the RSS dharna in Bhopal yesterday Mr Sudarshan levelled serious allegations against Mrs Gandhi and even described here as a CIA agent.
