2 Years of Congress in Rajasthan, BJP says total failure

The opposition BJP and CPI (M) today dubbed the two year rule of Ashok Gehlot led Congress government in Rajasthan as "total failure on all fronts", even as the government praised itself on the eve of completing two years in office. "The government took important decisions in the interest of farmers, for strengthening rural development and Panchayat Raj, attracting investment, and simplifying the process of promoting investment, social security and power generation," a government spokesperson said today. The government claimed that it has created a "new Rajasthan" by bringing development in all the sectors. "Increase in power generation, release of water policy for better water management, water supply in drought affected 21,000 villages through tankers, renewable and repairing of several thousands km roads, setting up of 1800 citizen centers are among some of our achievements," he said.
On the other hand, the opposition termed the state government's two years in office as total failure on all fronts. "Gehlot government is not bothered for the law and order situation, developmental works, progress in education sector but is just involved in rampant corruption. Crime has considerably increased in the Congress regime and this is the fact state Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal acknowledged in SPs conference," deputy leader of opposition in the state legislative assembly, Ghanshyam Tiwari said.
