Rajasthan enters Ranji Trophy quarter final

Visitors Rajasthan booked themselves a place in the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals on the virtue of their massive first innings lead of 292 in the Plate division semi-final match against Maharashtra here today. In reply to Rajathan's mammoth score of 641/7 declared, Maharashtra were bowled out for 349. The visitors chose not to impose the follow-on and were 203/2, when skippers of both the teams agreed for a draw.
Opener Aakash Chopra, who scored 302 not out in the first innings failed to add to his heroics and was dismissed for 3. However, former India all-rounder Hrishikesh Kanitkar made full use of the opportunity as he completed his century and remained unbeaten on 100 (178b 4x13 6x2).
