Jindal SAW executes mining agreement in Rajasthan

Jindal SAW Ltd, a total pipe solution company, on Tuesdayannounced the execution of their Mining Lease Agreement with the State of Rajasthan for Iron Ore Mines in Rajasthan. The lease is for a period of 30 years (thirty years). The total area covered under the lease is 1556.78 Hectares. Based on the initial estimates, the mines have approx. 180 million tons of reserves/resources of various categories of Iron Ores. The company is setting up a beneficiation plant to produce app. 6000 tons of concentrate per day and other required infrastructure for treatment of the extracted material which shall be used initially for its in house requirements for production of Ductile Iron Pipes, etc. Subsequently, the company will use the material for value added products, in terms of the lease agreement.
