Rajasthan gets first Grahak Seva Kendra

Following the new guidelines of the government for providing banking facilities in every village having a population of more than 2000, the first ‘Grahak Seva Kendra’ of the state was opened at Nevra road in the city. The inauguration was done by the Deputy General Manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) Brijesh Verma. The new ‘Grahak Seva Kendra’ comes under the jurisdiction of the Osian branch of the SBI. Addressing the people on the occasion the Dy GM said that all banking facilities including opening of bank accounts, issuing of ‘Kisan Credit Card’ etc will be provided at the place. A maximum withdrawal limit of R 10,000 has been set. The pensioners will also get their pensions from the ‘Grahak Seva Kendra’. National Rural Employment Guarantee Act payments will also be soon started from here. Five new ‘Grahak Seva Kendra’ will be opened in the Osian tehsil this week and 45 in the rural areas of Jodhpur division.
