South-west monsoon has arrived in Kerala and this is also a good news for the people of the Rajasthan, especially for farmers preparing to sow kharif crops as mansoon will soon enter in Rajasthan. According to Met department, monsoon will enter from the southern part of the state and will cover Kota region, including Kota, Jhalawar, Baran and Banswara on June 20. It is expected to hit the state capital on June 25. The ongoing pattern of upper air cyclonic circulation and moisture can’t be associated with the monsoon but these factors will play a catalyst for timely arrival of the monsoon here, said an official.
“The scattered rain in some parts of eastern and southern Rajasthan can’t be taken as pre-monsoon showers but certainly these are indicative of an early monsoon in the state,” he said. The monsoon will progress towards western Rajasthan from July 2. “It will reach Jodhpur by July 2 and Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu by July 8. It will hit the desert area, including Jaisalmer and Barmer, by July 13,” an official said.
