Rajasthan CM visits flood-affected Regions

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the state government would plan and propose permanent solution to reduce damages due to floods in the affected regions. She said that in certain districts there were regions with frequent tendency of floods keeping life out gear and causing damages to the property. A permanent solution would be provided to save regions, she said talking to journalists in Jalore and Sirohi on Monday. Smt. Raje said that soon after assessing the flood-like situation in districts with heavy rains, she dispatched the in-charge ministers and secretaries to affected regions. They were continuously meeting the flood-victims and helping in relief and rescue operations. 
The CM said that the local district administration, police, NDRF, SDRF, Army, CRPF and Homeguards were carrying out day and night relief and rescue works with full cooperation to each other. From wherever any information was received for persons trapped in flood waters or with no food and other essentials, the relief workers were responding promptly to help them. Till date, helicopters of Indian Air Force had saved 42 lives, while more than 11,000 persons were taken to safe places across the state.  During a review of flood situation and relief works, Chief Minister directed the officials to distribute food items and other essentials of civil supplies in the 'offline' mode without POS machines.
