
Col. Karni Singh Rathore being awarded Kirti Chakra By Hon'ble President of India. this Indian hero Born on 1953 and died on 2005 as Indian soldier. He is a recipient of the prestiguous Kirti Chakra award in 1985. The highest gallantary Award was awarded to him by The President of India Giani Zail Singh ji. Son of Col. (Retd) Mohan Singh of Lakhau Churu district. He was from a Rathore Rajput family. Served as a meritorious Officer in the Indian Army's 17 Rajputana Rifles where he got the highest peace time award Kirti Chakra of the Indian Army while fighting insurgents. He was commissioned in the 17th Rajputana Rifles the unit of his father, got the command and was posted with TA at the time of his untimely death.
His father had also served the Indian army in the same Rajputana Rifles and participated in war many times. His elder brother also served the same Battalion as an Office and retired as Colonel and the same way his father-in-law and brother-in-law all served for the country's Army. Several of his cousins have also served Indian Army in various capacities. In short his blood have love for Nation and Indian Army.
