Riding on Sachin Tendulkar's 163 and Yuvraj Singh's blazing 87 runs, India made 392 runs after put in to bat by New Zealand's stand-in skipper Brendon McCullum. This was India's second highest ODI score. Their highest score of 413 runs came against Bermuda in the 2007 World Cup. Climbing that mountain of runs looked unimaginable but New Zealand openers Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum started the innings on an aggressive note and dealt Indian bowlers in boundaries. They were particularly harsh on off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and added 166 runs in no time for the first wicket.
Sachin is announced Man of the Match for his outstanding 163*. With this win india have chance to win series against New zealand. India now have lead of 2-0 in series.
