Bangladesh Prime minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to visit Ajmer dargah today. Keeping in view the visit of Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday, the dargah security has been tightened for about three hours. No devotee will be allowed to enter the premises after 10 am and shops will remain closed for security concern. “A drill was conducted. A chopper landed at the designated helipad. This was done to see that everything’s in place. We are being extra cautious due to the foggy conditions,” said police officers. Securitymen also drove down the stretch from the helipad in Gughra to the dargah’s main gate.
The police searched hotels and guest houses near the dargah. “We will depute police personnel everywhere,” officers said. No pilgrim, not even members of the Anjuman Committee, will be allowed to enter the dargah premises during Hasina’s visit. Only a few members of the dargah panel and that of the Anjuman will be allowed entry with special passes. Meanwhile, the Anjuman is worried about Hasina’s timings. “If she stays there after 1.30 pm, it will be a problem for the devotees to offer Zohar ki namaz on same day. Police and administration is confidence about security for Bangladesh PM.
