Department of Meteorological predict heavy rain in some part of rajasthan from arebian sea's Fet cyclone. Met Department predict heavy rain in south-western rajasthan in upcoming 2 days. The regional Met office has issued warning of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in the state over the next two days, due to the influence of the cyclonic storm ‘Phet’. Regional Met director S S Singh said ‘Phet’ is vigorously churning the waters in the north of Arabian Sea. It is likely to hit Gujarat and Pakistan coast in the next 48 hours. the cyclonic storm is however expected to weaken gradually.
the most likely areas to be affected by heavy rainfall are Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jalore, Pali, Sirohi, and Bikaner districts. Light to moderate rainfall could occur at places in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner divisions and at a few places in Jaipur, and Kota. Heavy rain was reported in Jaisalmer on Sunday afternoon. It recorded the highest rainfall at 21.9 mm, while Ganganagar reported 9.7 mm rain. Barmer and Churu also reported light rain during the day.
