Two arrested for killing 3 Chinkaras in Rajasthan

Police arrested two poachers, while the other two managed to flee the spot. The incident took place at Khuiala village under the Ramgarh police station, nearly 70 km from Jaisalmer town. Police have recovered the the skin, and the carcass of the three chinkaras, and a gun from their possession. “Locals informed us about the suspicious movement of a few strangers in the area, after which we reached the scene, and the poachers were made to surrender,” said Sunil Vishnoi, inspector at Ramgarh police station, who led the entire operation.
Those arrested are Abdullah and Shaki Khan, while their accomplices Bakshe Khan and Akbar Khan managed to escape. “We have recovered an Indica car (GJ-1-BK-2991) from their possession and are interrogating them. They seem to be part of a major gang involved in poaching in the region,” Vishnoi said. The police however, could not recover the registration papers of the car, and said they could be using a fake number, and the vehicle could have been stolen from Gujarat or Rajasthan.
