3 die after falling from BSNL tower in border area

Three persons, including a retired engineer, were killed and as many injured following the break-down and fall of the lift along a BSNL communication tower in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan today. According to Police sources, the victims climbed up in the lift at a height of around 220 feet to undertake repairs at the tower in 29-ADB village in Anoopgarh sector along the Indo-Pak border when the lift suddenly broke and fell down. While retired engineer Anif Mohammad and labourer Rajpal died on the spot, Chotharam succumbed to his injuries later on. The injured were admitted to hospital in Bikaner, the sources said.
