Doodle 4 Google winner Akshay raj's doodle is displayed today(14th Nov, childrens day)on google home page. Google India has organised this year’s national Doodle 4 Google contest to mark Children’s Day. Akshay raj is 14 year old class IXth student from mangalore who was awarded yesterday in Mumbai. His doodle was chosen from over 1,08,000 entries submitted by students across the country, and was selected based on artistic merit, creativity and expression of the theme, a release issued in Mumbai on Saturday said. The winning doodle titled ‘Technically and Naturally Growing India’ will go live on the Google India home page on Sunday.
Akshay Raj will also receive a technology starter package and Rs 2,00,000 technology grant for his school. The ‘Doodle4Google’ competition was open to all students from 1st-10th standard. This year participants were challenged to imagine their own version of the Google logo based on the theme ‘My Dream for India’, the release said. “Doodle4Google has become a global platform giving young children an opportunity to showcase their talent globally. In India, this year’s competition noticed great enthusiasm from kids around the country, as the entries crossed the 1,00,000 mark from just 4,500 entries we got last year,” Google India’s Country Marketing Manager, Nikhil Rungta, said.
