Rajasthan Budget session from 14 Feb 2011

The Rajasthan LegislativeAssembly is likely to witness a stormy Budget Session withopposition party BJP planning to corner the state governmenton several issues, including recent hooch tragedies in Paliand Jodhpur which claimed several lives. The Session is scheduled to begin from February 15with the Governor''s address. The Opposition BJP made its intension clear that itwill demand a long session to debate on all the issues ofimportance and try to push the government to the corner onseveral issues. "We want a long session and will corner the governmentdemanding action against some ministers, including PrimaryEducation Minister Bhanwar Lal Meghwal, who made indecentcomments against para-medical staff during a public function. Also on the list is Babu Lal Naagar against whom ACB isinvestigating corruption charges," Deputy Leader of OppositionGhanshyam Tiwari said.
"The state government took immediate action againstthe minister, who commented on President, but what aboutothers who have been using such language against common peopleopenly. We will seek a reply on it," he said. Hooch tragedies which claimed several lives, poorperformance of the government, unemployment are among otherissues we will raise in the Assembly, he said. However, the uncertainty over the Leader of Oppositionprevails ahead of the Session with the BJP leadership notappointing a new face after the resignation of VasundharaRaje.
