Centre Govt alloted Rs 30 crore for PMGSY in Rajasthan

The Centre has released a grant of Rs 30 crore for construction of rural roads in Rajasthan under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The amount is a part payment of the World Bank-aided projects under the scheme to Rajasthan Rural Roads Development Agency, the Ministry of Rural Development said in a statement.
PMGSY is a 100 per cent centrally-sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country. It envisages connectivity to all habitations with a population of 500 people and above in the rural areas and for places with a population of 250 and above in hill states, tribal areas and deserts.
