BCCI has served a showcause notice to Rajasthan Cricket Association(RCA) secretary Sanjay Dixit for his remarks about Sachin Tendulkar on Twitter. Reports say the BCCI president Shashank Manohar has termed these remarks as an 'unprecedented' act by an administrator. Dixit has been given 15 days to reply to the notice. Mr Dixit had criticized Sachin Tendulkar for blaming the Jaipur pitch for Mumbai Indians’ poor performance against Rajasthan Royals. Put into bat, Mumbai were bowled out for a paltry 94 and Rajasthan achieved the target in 18.1 overs. After the match, Sachin said that the pitch was ‘two-paced’ and the ball had ‘kept low’. Sanjay Dixit tweeted: ‘Sachin gets out on a full toss. Can’t blame the pitch this time’ after Tendulkar had been dismissed for 51 against Punjab in the next league match.
Earlier, the BCCI had asked Dixit and Warne to appear for a hearing over their spat regarding the pitch at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium IPL Commissioner Chirayu Amin had called the hearing following a complaint lodged by Dixit, who had alleged that the skipper of Rajasthan Royals had publicly abused him. Warne was alleged to have blamed the RCA official for not acceding to his demand for a pitch that would have suited the home team Rajasthan Royals in their IPL match against the Chennai Super Kings.
