Jaipur to get more Flyovers to Ease Traffic

In a bid to ease out traffic jams in busy pockets in the state capital here, the Rajasthan Government has decided to build two elevated roads above the existing roads and two busy flyovers. One of the such roads passing over the Khasa Kothi flyover would come up from Collectorate Circle to Government Hostel Square and Rajnivas Palace junction along Sardar Patel Marg. Likewise, the second road passing over the Bais Gowdown flyover would be built from Sodala Square up to Katputli Nagar bifurcation, an official spokesman said here today.
The Rs 300 crore projects which would ease out traffic flow in busy areas like Collectorate, MI Road, Civil Lines and Bhawani Singh Road were approved by Urban Development authorities and then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave the final approval yesterday, the spokesman said. The work was expected to be started within next 3 to 4 months and would be completed in one-and-a-half years, he said.
