Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has directed the state government officials for timebound redressal of public grievances. She said that satisfying the complainant before final disposal of a complaint by way of cross verification was necessarily required. She asked for registration of all the complaints received during jansunvai (public hearings) on Rajasthan Sampark Portal within 24 hours and ensure its final disposal within time. Chairing a review meeting on public grievances at the CM residence on Monday, Smt. Raje said that the people of the state had many expectations from the Rajasthan Sampark Portal, therefore every department should be serious about the complaints registered hereon.
The Chief Minister asked the Parliamentary Secretaries present in the meeting to help the Public Grievances Redressal Committee Chairman Shri Srikrishan Patidar in resolving the grievances and should make frequent regular enquiries and cross verification about the resolved complaints. She further asked the Members of Legislative Assembly and other public representatives to do regular review of action taken on the public grievances through Sampark Portal and by visiting the field. Smt. Raje said that any official who disposed off a complaint wrongfully or marked it ‘disposed’ on the basis of a false report, without actual disposal, departmental action should be taken against the concerned. Such action must reflect in the employee’s annual performance report, as well she added. The CM said that if a mistake was revealed in verification of grievance redressal, necessary action be taken against the verifyer or the adopter. She further called for a report on public grievances lodged at the Sampark Portal to be placed before the State Cabinet every month on a regular basis.
