BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani has said the NDA, if voted to power, would enact a law that would enable bringing back Indian money "stashed" in Swiss banks.
"I have written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to raise the issue at G-20 summit on April 2. If he fails to raise it, the NDA, if voted to power, will initiate steps to make a law that will help get back the black money from secret accounts," Advani told an election meeting in Dhanbad on Monday. "The money will then be used for programmes like drinking water and computerisation of schools in six lakh villages across the country," the BJP leader added.
Advani had on Sunday asked the Prime Minister to raise the issue at the G-20 summit in London, which will be attended by US President Barrack Obama among other global leaders. Meanwhile, appealing to vote for BJP candidate P N Singh from Dhanbad, the former deputy prime minister accused the Congress-led UPA government of failing to curb terrorism.
