This was almost a repeat of 2004 when the turnout was 49.94%. According to initial data available with the election department, Ganganagar constituency reported the highest percentage of polling at 62% while the lowest polling (37%) was reported in Jalore. Bikaner was only a shade better at 39%. Jaipur and Jaipur Rural reported about 50% voting. The chief electoral officer said complaints about malpractices had come in from Tarodhar (Nagaur), Rawalwara, Magalpura (Karauli), Warnipur (Pali), Haligharh (Jhalawar), Rajpur (Dausa), Tijaria and Bawanwas (Sawai Madhopur). The violence-hit constituencies of Dausa and Tonk-Sawai Madhopur recorded 52% and 53% turnout respectively. Long queues were seen in the Meena-dominated areas. Prominent contestants, whose fate was locked in the EVMs, include Congress’s Sachin Pilot in Ajmer, Girija Vyas in Chittorgarh and C P Joshi in Bhilwara, and BJP’s Manvendra Singh in Barmer, Dushyant Singh in Jhalawar and Kirori Singh Bainsla in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur. Buta Singh and Kirori Lal Meena were fighting from Jalore and Dausa respectively as Independents. So just wait and see what 26% real public who really think about rajasthan and fate of their next generation have decided for rest of 74% Public of rajasthan.
