Rahul Gandhi visit dargarh and address rally at ajmer

Rahul gandhi address over 25,000 crowd at Azad Park, virtually baking under the scorching sun on Monday, went berserk when Rahul Gandhi, seen waving from the chopper window, didn’t turn up on the dais for the next 15 minutes. The entire gathering was getting restless as arrival of choppers had triggered people running towards the venue and the meeting space was shrinking. Calming the gathering, tourism minister Bina Kak revealed the untold: “Rahulji has gone to dargah sharif and is on his way back after performing ziayarat.” On his maiden visit to Ajmer, to campaign for his old pal and Congress candidate Sachin Pilot, Rahul Gandhi extended the wait of the crowd and went to pay obeisance at the dargah of 12th century sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, before reaching the venue.
His visit to dargah sharif was kept a well-guarded secret, apparently for security reasons, as the shrine is located in a densely populated area. It was also at the special request of Rahul himself, who didn’t want to create security hassles for the routine devotees visiting the shrine daily, said the intelligence officers. Accompanying Rahul to the shrine were chief minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief CP Joshi, and party candidate from Ajmer, Sachin Pilot.
