Rajasthan Panchayat Election completed Successfully

Rajasthan Panchayat Election completed Successfully of all three phases and result of panch and sarpanch will be declared today for last 3rd phase at Gram Panchayat. The last 3rd phase of voting witness around 65 per cent of around 91 lakh voters exercised their franchise during the polling held yesterday to elect 305 members to Zila Parishads and 1,588 members to Panchayat Samities in different blocks spread over 33 districts in Rajasthan. The polling which began at 9,987 polling booths in the morning passed off amid minor incidents of clashes and/or bogus polling, a State Election Commission spokesman said. The incidents led to suspension of polling at, at least five booths in Jhalawar and the commission was considering to order re-poll there, the spokesman said.
The polling for Panchs and Sarpanchs to Gram Panchayats in these areas would be held on Thursday. This is the third phase of the polling in the ongoing Panchayat polls in the state. The first and second phases were held on January 20 and 22 and January 29 and 31, the spokesman said. Election for year 2010 has been completed in all manner and result for Panchayat Samiti members and Jila Parishad Member will be declared on 8th February at district headquarter.
