Gujjar leader Bhaisala said we got reservation but we need 5% reservation within the 50% reservation quota.
Arun Chaturvedi elected BJP President of Rajasthan
Rajasthan BJP President election was conducted today and finally Arun Chaturvedi elected BJP President of Rajasthan. State BJP Vice President Arun Chaturvedi was nominated on Thursday, as the President of the party's Rajasthan unit, replacing Om Mathur who resigned from the post recently following the BJP's debacle in the Lok Sabha polls. Chaturvedi worked in the Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from 1974 to 1988 and held the post of State Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM)from 1988 to 1998,party sources said. He was BJP's State General Secretary from 2004 to 2007 and presently holds post of party's spokesperson and Vice- President.

Manasvi Mamgai win Miss India World 2010 title
Delhi girl Manasvi Mamgai has been crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India World for this year at a gala event on Friday night in Mumbai. She will represent India at the global pageant later this year. The 22-year-old girl has also won also the WGC Femina Miss Golden Heart title and Femina Miss Catwalk, among others. The other winners were Nicole Faria of Bangalore, who won Miss India Earth 2010 title, while Neha Hinge took the title of Miss India International 2010, according to the pageant's website.The 18 finalists were judged by personalities like Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, writer Chetan Bhagat, tennis star Sania Mirza, boxer Vijender Singh, director Anurag Basu, designer Ritu Beri and actor Kunal Kapoor. Rajasthan ATS held Muzafarpur man held in Ajmer Dargah blast
After the Malegon blasts, the role of the radical Hindu outfit, Abhinav Bharat, resurfaced with the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Friday arresting Devendra Gupta for his involvement in the Ajmer dargah sharif blasts in 2007. Three people were killed and 30 others injured when explosives kept in a tiffin box went off at the famous sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on October 11, 2007. In a breakthrough in the October 2007 bomb blast at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer in which three persons were killed, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Rajasthan on Wednesday night arrested one Devendra Gupta. A resident of Muzafarpur in Bihar, Gupta was on a visit to his parents' house at Bihariganj in Ajmer town to meet his ailing mother when the ATS, narrowing on him for some time, nabbed him. The 36-year-old Gupta, who is suspected to have links with a Hindutva terror outfit, was produced on Friday before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ajmer who remanded him to 12 days' police custody. “We are hopeful of cracking the Ajmer Dargah blast case,” said ATS Chief Kapil Garg

Behind him is an organization which tries to incite violence between Hindus and Muslims,” Mr. Dhariwal said talking briefly to media persons here. “We are investigating the links of the organization with the RSS,” he asserted.

SH Kapadia appoined 38th Chief Justice of India
President Pratibha Patil has appointed senior-most judge of the Supreme Court Justice Sarosh Homi Kapadia the 38th Chief Justice of India (CJI). He will take charge on May 12, succeeding Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, who retires on May 11. Justice Kapadia, who will be the first CJI born after Independence, will have a tenure of 2 years and 4 months. He was initially appointed an additional judge of the Bombay High Court in October 1991 and made a permanent judge in March 1993. For more than three years, he was the special judge of the special court under the Securities Transaction Act. On August 5, 2003, he was appointed the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. On December 18, 2003, he was elevated to the Supreme Court.
In the past six-and-half years, he has delivered several landmark judgments under the constitutional law and the taxation, regulatory and commercial laws. He has also dealt with public interest litigation petitions on important matters, cases under the Company Law, and matters of valuations and accounts and revival of companies under the SICA, 1985.

ICICI, HDFC Bank not Indian-owned: Govt
The Central Government on Friday said ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank could not be called Indian-owned banks, setting at rest the debate generated over the nationality of the top two private sector lenders. “At best, the two can be called Indian-controlled banks,” Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Secretary R. P. Singh said when asked about the government's stand in the wake of the two seeking clarifications on the matter. “ICICI Bank Managing Director and CEO (Chanda Kochhar) met me two days ago and discussed the issue with me,” he said. ICICI Bank had maintained that it continued to be an Indian bank as its management and board was Indian.
However, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have over 74 per cent foreign holding, including that of foreign banks and overseas institutional investors. “Banks will be covered in one paper, which we are trying to bring out on the financial aspects totally... it will cover banks also,” he said referring to the six discussion papers on FDI that the DIPP is planning to bring out soon. “You know the definition of what is a company controlled by Indians and what is the definition of a company owned by Indians,” Mr. Singh said. Going by the definition, they were certainly banks which were not owned by Indians, because equity of at least 74 per cent or around 74 per cent was from outside, he pointed out, buttressing the government's stand.
