The state government’s decision to cut power supplies to industry and domestic consumers, mainly to increase supply in rural areas, may lead to losses to the tune of over Rs 600 crore for industry.Government had issued orders saying effective Thursday there won’t be power supply to industries consuming over 3 MW electricity and power cut is implemented in all urban areas:
* Capital Jaipur will have a two-hour power cut.
* District headquarters (four hours)
* Municipal areas (five hours)
* Villages having over 6,000 population (six hours).
The power crisis in the state has aggravated following the collapse of high-tension line towers in Uttar Pradesh. This decision will impact textile, cement and fertilizer industry.
CM Ashok gehlot announce today that they will solve this problem within 5-6 days.
