MoS Defence Lalchand Kataria may get different ministry

Minister of State(MoS) for Defence & Jaipur MP Lalchand Kataria's ministry is likely to be changed as per media reports. The sources said that the Prime Minister's Office had put on hold the decision to appoint Kataria as one of the two Ministers of State for Defence and both are from the same state: Rajasthan.Kataria also happens to be a first time Lok Sabha member from the Jaipur Rural constituency.
Sikar MP Mahadev Singh Khandela's expulsion from the union ministry was anticipated much early, but his replacement was largely seen to be coming from among the Congress MPs of Marwar or Shekhawati regions-the Jat community's strongholds. Congress state president Chandrabhan, who is also a Jat from Shekhawati, however, justified the party high command decision. "Congress has always given enough representation to Jats in the union ministry. The party takes equal care of all castes and communities," he replied, on being asked if the community was peeved at none of its MPs getting a cabinet portfolio in the reshuffle

Rajasthan OBC Creamy Layer limit reduced to 2.50 Lakh

Rajasthan Government has lowered the income limit for creamy layer among the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) from Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh in a shocking decision against the wave when Central Govt and other states Govt. are looking to raise limit to 4.50 Lakh to 7 Lakh. Now OBC persons whose family yearly income is up to Rs 2.5 lakh will only be entitled to get reservation benefits in government jobs and educational institutes as per new rule by Rajasthan HC. Earlier the limit was Rs 4.5 lakh per annum while Central Govt. slab for OBC remains unchanged to 4.50 Lakh.Dominating OBC community Jat and other OBC community leaders are not looking in favor of new Creamy layer slab for OBC category. Apart from various Community Organization, BJP the Congress State president Dr. Chandrabhan has opposed his own party government’s decision to lower the annual income limit for excluding creamy layer members of the other backward classes (OBC) from the quota benefits. “We have decided to take up the issue with the state government. At a time when the average cost of living has steeply shot up, the creamy layer limit ought to have been raised and not lowered,” Chandrabhan told reporters on Thursday. The party president said the government would be suggested to raise the limit to Rs 6 lakh per annum.
OBC Cremy Layer limit was last time changed in 2008 during BJP Government when Cabinet raised the income criteria for the creamy layer from Rs.2.5 lakhs to Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum, the Government of Rajasthan has also hiked the limit from Rs.2.45 lakhs to Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum for the Other Backward Classes (OBCs). BJP may cash this issue and make a clean sweep of Congress from Rajasthan by getting votebank benefits from OBC community like Jat, Yadav, Bishnoi, Kumawat etc in the assembly elections due next year. This decision is definitely in opposite direction to what Centre govt. in planning to do. In June 2012 Center govt. plan to revise 'creamy layer' for OBCs at around or less than Rs 7 lakh per annum, diluting the existing ceiling of Rs 4.5 lakh which will bring more backward members in the reservation net and satisfy OBC satraps who resent the eligibility bar for quota and Now 2.50 is Shocking for candidates preparing for various Examinations. Tiger kills forest official in Ranthambore National Park

In a tragic accident tiger dragged away a forest official while he was overseeing a passage repair work and mauled him to death in Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park on Thursday. The incident took place around 11 a.m. while some labourers were repairing a passage in the reserve's Kundal area, some 150 km from Jaipur. The world famous reserve is home to about 50 tigers. The forester Gheesu Singh was with a group of laborers and had gone inside the forest for repairing a road damaged in the monsoons when male tiger T-24 attacked him from behind, grabbed him by the neck and hauled him away.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has announced a compensation of Rs 20 lakh for Singh’s next of kin. In fact, even UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is said to have enquired about Singh and his family and urged the government to do all it can. This is T-24's fourth attack in three years. Earlier, the mauled body of a boy was recovered from behind the Jhumar Bawri area and it was suspected that T-24 was behind the attack. Two more instances were recalled by officers of the forest department when T-24 had probably attacked and killed a woman and attacked and injured a forester.

No toilet, no bride says Jairam Ramesh, What About Home ?

Don’t get married in a house where there is no toilet,” the Rural Development and Water and Sanitation Minister said while addressing people of Khajuri village near Kota. Just weeks after saying toilets are more important than temples, Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has hit out at unsanitory conditions in trains, yet again. He's gone on to say that women should refuse to marry into families with no bathrooms. he also said that those who defecate in open should be arrested. "Two crore passengers travel daily from railways. 50,000 coaches run on tracks daily. There are four toilets in one coach. If any person is found defecating in open, he would be punished severely," Ramesh said. “You consult astrologers about rahu–ketu before getting married. You should also look whether there is a toilet at your groom’s home before you decide to get married,” he said. Later, Mr. Ramesh launched the third edition of the Nirmal Bharat Yatra at Sangod in Kota district.
Ramesh also narrated the story of a woman- Anita Narre- who left her husband's home in Madhya Pradesh two days after marriage in protest against not having toilet there. Noting that sanitation is an issue related to women's dignity and safety, Ramesh said the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan is a people's movement aiming to eradicate the menace of open defecation in ten years. He criticised Rajasthan for not doing enough for providing proper sanitation facilities to the people. Pointing out that out of 9,177 Gram Panchayats, only 321 have become open defecation free in the states, Ramesh asked the state authorities to come out with a plan to make the state open defecation free in five years. Meanwhile, members of saffron outfits showed black flags to Ramesh at various places protesting against his temple and toilet remarks. Its fate of Indian People that if they Unfortunate earn Rs. 28 per day then they are above Below Poverty Line (BPL) and if you are not in BPL families, you can't avail various sanitory and rural development schemes of Government. So people of Rajasthan is in limbo whether to earn above Rs. 28 or take advantages of Govt. schemes. They are Farmers, Mazdoors who hardly have Money for Proper Home, better food so how can they think about proper sanitation Neither they are eligible to avail High-profile toilets built by Planning Commission at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh. Point raised by Hon. Minister is 100% correct but who will provide proper Home first instead of Tin or Grass shade where more than 20% population country is living life like hell ?.

Vadra says "Mango people in a banana republic", IAC demands apology

Robert Vadra today deleted his Facebook account after a furore over his new status message that read, "Mango people in a banana republic," in an apparent dig at India Against Corruption (IAC) member Arvind Kejriwal and senior Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan, who on Friday, levelled allegations of corruption against him. Before deleting his account, Vadra reportedly wrote on his page, "Obviously it seems I have people on my Facebook account who do not have a sense of humour. Everything I write becomes news and further debates on television?? I have decided to delete my account."
Vadra's decision of deleting Facebook account might have brought relief to Congress President Sonia Gandhi who has been facing criticism for her son-in-law's alleged involvement in corruption case. The UPA Chairperson earlier had asked her party men to defend Vadra. Kejriwal earlier on Friday, Oct 5 claimed that Vadra was provided an interest-free unsecured loan worth Rs 65 crore by real estate firm DLF with which Vadra allegedly bought property worth Rs 300 crore from the DLF itself. On Monday, soon after Vadra posted his Facebook status, IAC member Kumar Vishwas demanded an apology from him. "Vadra's mother-in-law has been ruling the country so he should explain why India is being called a "banana republic," Vishwas said. IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal  slammed Vadra for his ‘Mango people’ remark on his Facebook page. “Evidence pouring in from mango men from across the country. Mango men wud (sic) prove to be nemesis for the “powerful,” tweeted Kejriwal. Evidence pouring in from mango men from across the country. Mango men wud prove to be nemesis for the "powerful". Vadra reportedly wrote on his Facebook page, “mango people in a banana republic” but later deleted the page, after scrutiny on it increased, following Kejriwal’s allegations.
