IAS topper Tina Dabi Get Rajasthan Cadre

Tina Dabi, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) topper in 2015, will serve in Rajasthan, not her first choice Haryana. The government has allocated Dabi and her two colleagues - Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu - who came second and third in the civil services examination, to the Rajasthan cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Dabi had hoped for a posting in Haryana where she wanted to focus on women’s empowerment.

Tina Dabi, who topped the exam, Jammu and Kashmir's Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan (second rank) and Delhi's Jasmeet Singh Sandhu (third rank) have been allocated Rajasthan cadre, as per service allocation by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). They are among 180 other IAS officers who have been allocated various cadres. The civil services examination is conducted annually in three stages - preliminary, main and interview - to select candidates for Indian Administrative Services and Indian Police Services, among others.

काला हिरण और चिंकारा शिकार केस में बरी हुए सलमान खान

बॉलिवुड अभिनेता सलमान खान को राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय ने काले हिरण और चिंकारा शिकार मामले में बरी कर दिया है। कोर्ट में मामले की सुनवाई के वक्त सलमान खान की बहन भी मौजूद थी। 1998 के इस मामले में सलमान खान को दोषी मानते हुए निचली अदालत पहले ही उन्हें सजा सुना चुकी थी। सलमान ने निचली अदालत से मिली सजा को जोधपुर हाईकोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी। निचली अदालत ने सलमान को शिकार के दो अलग-अलग मामलों में क्रमश: एक साल और पांच साल की सजा सुनाई थी। हाईकोर्ट ने मामले पर मई के आखिरी सप्ताह में सुनवाई पूरी कर ली थी और फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था। अवैध शिकार के दो अलग-अलग मामलों में सलमान के अलावा सात अन्य आरोपी भी शामिल हैं। जोधपुर के सुदूरवर्ती इलाके भावड़ में 26 सितंबर, 1998 को और इसी इलाके के घोड़ा फार्म्स में 28 सितंबर, 1998 को यह अवैध शिकार किए गए थे। सलमान उस समय जोधपुर में फिल्म 'हम साथ साथ हैं' की शूटिंग कर रहे थे। सलमान इस मामले में इससे पहले जोधपुर जेल जा चुके हैं।

सलमान के बरी होने की खबर आते ही उनके फैंस और परिवार के बीच खुशी का माहौल है।  इससे पहले इस मामले में सलमान को सेशन कोर्ट की ओर से पांच साल की सजा सुनाई गई थी, जिसके बाद सभी की चिंता बढ़ गई थी।  जैसे ही सलमान को बरी किए जाने की खबर आई, सोशल साइट पर जैसे बवाल मच गया। एक ट्विटर उपयोगकर्ता ने लिखा कि सलमान को बरी किया जाना और कुछ नहीं बल्कि उनकी शादी की तैयारियों का हिस्सा है। भारतीय न्याय व्यवस्था का मखौल उड़ाता फैसला। कुछ लोगों ने तो अदालत के फैसले की निंदा करते हुए इसे 'शर्मनाक' बताया।

हाईकोर्ट के इस आदेश के बाद विश्नोई समाज ने विरोध शुरू किया दिया है। विश्नोई समाज के लोगों ने जोधपुर जिला कलेक्टर कार्यालय के सामने सलमान खान के पोस्टर व बैनर के साथ प्रदर्शन किया। बिश्नोई टाइगर्स फोर्स के कार्यकर्ताओं ने आरोप लगाया कि तीन-तीन हिरण शिकार मामले में आरोपी सलमान खान के खिलाफ पर्याप्त सबूत व साक्ष्य होने के बावजूद भी सरकार की ढिलाई और हाईकोर्ट में मजबूती से पक्ष नहीं रखने के कारण सलमान खान को हाईकोर्ट ने बरी किया है। इससे विश्नाई समाज के साथ ही वन्यजीव प्रेमियों को निराशा हाथ लगी है। उन्होंने कहा कि मूक बधिर को न्याय नहीं मिल पाया है।  विश्नोई समाज के अध्यक्ष शिवराम ने नाराजगी जताते हुए कहा कि राज्य सरकार और वन विभाग पर्यावरण व जीव संरक्षण के लेकर हमेशा से ही उदासीन रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती वसुन्धरा राजे ने शनिवार को होटल मेरियट में अपना आधिकारिक मोबाइल एप लॉन्च किया। इस एप के माध्यम से प्रदेशवासियों को राज्य सरकार की विभिन्न योजनाओं एवं कार्यक्रमों की ताजा जानकारी मिल सकेगी। ’वसुन्धरा राजे’ मोबाइल एप के माध्यम से आमजन मुख्यमंत्री के साथ सीधा संवाद भी कर सकेंगे और दस्तावेज या फोटो अपलोड कर सकेंगे। इस एप में इंटीग्रेटेड सर्विस डिलीवरी एवं शिकायत समाधान सिस्टम भी है। साथ ही, राज्य सरकार अन्य एप्स के लिंक एवं राजस्थान के विकास से जुड़े इंफोग्राफिक्स उपलब्ध हैं। इस एप के माध्यम से मुख्यमंत्री जल स्वावलम्बन अभियान में आर्थिक सहयोग किया जा सकता है। इस पर मुख्यमंत्री के भाषण, संदेश एवं साक्षात्कार भी उपलब्ध हैं।

CM attends 'Investors Meet' in Moscow

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje invited the Russian industrialists and businessmen to invest in Rajasthan and becomed partner in Resurgent Rajasthan campaign. She said Rajasthan provides better opportunity and ideal atmosphere for investment and Russian investors can avail this opportunity to become partner in the development of the State of Rajasthan. Smt. Raje was addressing the 'Investors Meet' organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industries at Moscow on Wednesday. She briefed investors about the opportunities and facilities available for investors. She said Rajasthan is one of India’s fastest growing economies. 

A number of renowned global companies are partners in Rajasthan’s journey to prosperity. Our policy framework is being talked about across the world. She said Rajasthan offers good connectivity, opportunities in creation of infrastructure, access to India’s largest markets, assured supply of skilled manpower, large parcels of land, assured power supply with extreme ease of doing business. The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan pioneered the concept of “country specific industrial zones”. With the highest number of Universities and Colleges, skilled manpower is aplenty in our state, she said. We have a systematic and strong skill development programs which are carried out in partnership with Industrial houses so that niche skills are created. Rajasthan has been adjudged Best state in skilling in the country for the last two years, she added. Smt. Raje said Rajasthan is well known for its mineral and dimensional stone deposits. The state has a wide variety of clays, wollastonite, Quartz-feldspar and gypsum- ideal for ceramic and advanced materials. Rajasthan has a near monopoly on rock phosphate and is a major supplier of limestone. The state also produce some of the best marble, granite and sandstones, she said.

Over 25 killed in two road accidents in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, at least 25 people have been died and over 50 injured in two separate road accidents. In Bhilwara, at least thirteen people have been killed and 40 others injured in a deadly road accident in Bidnaur area. The mishap occurred when a tractor-trolley rammed into a trailer late last night. In the Bhilwara mishap, three of the seriously injured have been rushed to a government hospital in Ajmer, while others to various hospitals in Bhilwara, Beawar, and Asind, the SHO of Bandore said.

The second accident occurred when the bus driver had an altercation with a truck driver and parked the vehicle in the middle of the Sirohi-Pali-Jodhpur highway and passengers got down the bus. Another speeding truck coming from the opposite side mowed them down, Sirohi SP Sandeep Singh Chouhan said. Of these, nine passengers were killed on the spot and four died on way to Udaipur, the SP said, adding that the three injured were critical. The deceased, all males, are yet to be identified.

Police remand of Rajasthan MLA's son extended in BMW Accident

Three people were reportedly killed in a road accident on Friday night when a BMW, allegedly belonging to Independent MLA Nand Kishore Maharia from Sikar in Fatehpur district, hit an auto in C-scheme area in Jaipur. The police have reported that the BMW that was being driven by the MLA’s son, Siddharth Maharia, hit an autorickshaw and then rammed into the PCR van, adding that under the impact of the crash, the three-wheeler flew about 200 feet away from the site.

The police remand of Rajastan MLA Nandkishore Maharia's son Siddharth, who allegedy hit an autorickshaw and a police van killing three persons and leaving five others injured, was on Monday extended for three days. Siddharth was allegedly driving the BMW car at a speed of around 100 km/hr in the wee hours in C-scheme area on Saturday. The car first hit the autorickshaw and then rammed the PCR van nearby.

Rajasthan Women's Commission member resigns over 'rape victim selfie'

Somya Gurjar, the Rajasthan Women’s Commission member, who posted a selfie with a rape victim, resigned after facing flak on social media platforms and in political circles for her actions. National Commission for Women summoned her and the state panel’s chief after reprimanding them for a “very insensitive” act. Sources said she quit after mounting pressure from the Union government, which has apparently taken strong exception to the incident.

Sharma, who also appears in the selfie, said Gurjar took the photograph after they heard the victim as part of their investigation into her complaint against her husband and in-laws. The woman had alleged that they tattooed abuses on her body for failing to pay dowry, The Indian Express reported. Congress, which is in Opposition in the state, has accused the women’s panel as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Rajasthan of insensitivity towards women. “Despite a court order, the FIR [into the victim’s complaint] was registered after 10 days. It shows the state government’s attitude towards women. The women’s commission is a statutory body, and this sort of conduct shows lack of commitment of office-bearers,” state Congress spokesperson Archana Sharma said.

श्री ओ.पी. मीना ने मुख्य सचिव का पदभार संभाला

राजस्थान सरकार ने वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी ओपी मीणा को मुख्य सचिव बनाया है। वे राज्य के पहले अनुसूचित जनजाति वर्ग का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले मुख्य सचिव है। मुख्य सचिव की दौड़ में 1979 बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी ओपी मीणा के अलावा 1981 बैच के अशोक जैन, 1982 बैच के निहाल चंद गोयल और 1983 बैच के डीबी गुप्ता भी शामिल थे।

उल्लेखनीय है कि सवाईमाधोपुर जिले के निवासी श्री ओम प्रकाश मीना 1979 बैच के भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी हैं। श्री मीना ने राजस्थान आवासन मण्डल के अध्यक्ष सहित राज्य के विभिन्न पदों पर रहे हैं।
