CBSE 10th result 2016 declared

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10th results 2016 have been declared today by CBSE official websites: www.cbse.nic.in  www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.results.nic.in

This year, 14,99,122 students, including 8,92,685 boys and 6,06,437 girls, from 15,309 schools registered for CBSE Class 10 examination. The pass percentage of Class 10 students in 2015 was 97.32 last year. The students who opted for board-based scheme appeared for the examination between March 1 and March 28. Those who opted for school-based examination took the papers from March 10 onwards.

Narendra Singh Tomar chairs the National Meet of Mining Ministers in Jaipur

National meet of Mining Ministers chaired by Union Steel & Mines Minister Sh. N. S. Tomar was held in Jaipur today. In his key note address, Shri Tomar said, “States must come forward to join the Central Government in enhancing contribution of Mining sector in GDP of the country from present level of 2.4%. Mineral exploration initiatives can be owned by state governments as more exploration can lead to more mining, which can result in employment generation and economic growth. Ministry of Mines has signed MOU with ISRO for use of space technologies in mining sector and states must take advantage of this opportunity.”  The States must make efforts to ensure that mining leases granted before MMDR Amendment, get Forest and Environment clearances by January 2017 deadline to prevent lapsing of leases, Shri Tomar said. 

Mining Ministers from nine states, who are holding charge of Mining in the respective states participated in the meeting. These include Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland. More than 60 senior level delegates from Ministry of Mines, 25 States and other government departments also participated in the meeting. The day long workshop had various sessions, addresses and interaction by Mining Ministers of States and technical session with senior officers of the States.

Narendra Singh, instructor of bomb defusing squad dies in explosion

Ace bomb trainer Narendra Singh killed in explosion at warfare college, Raipur.  A bomb disposal instructor at Chhattisgarh government’s Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College (CTJWC) in Kanker district was killed on Wednesday when a grenade exploded near him during a training session. Platoon commander Narendra Singh, a specialist instructor at CTJWC, sustained serious splinter injuries on his face in the explosion leading to his death, Kanker Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena. At around 8.30 am, a ‘grenade throwing’ training exercise was underway for trainees at the CTJWC, which is located around 150 km from here on Raipur-Jagdalpur road. A grenade exploded close to Singh, who was supervising the training, causing splinter injuries on his face, the SP said. The injured trainer was rushed to Kanker hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said.  Narendra Singh Choudhayr hailed from Nagaur district of Rajasthan.

Coaching Institutes Have to Depute Counsellors

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has directed for strict compliance of the orders regarding special arrangement of psychologists and career counsellors for the students studying at coaching institutes in the state. Addressing the officers during the third day of District Collector-Superintendent of Police Conference at the Chief Minister Office on Friday, Smt. Raje said that the coaching firms would not be allowed to make money by keeping students’ lives at stake.

The Chief Minister also expressed her anguish on traffic disturbance around the marriage gardens during wedding celebrations in the want of proper parking facilities. She said that general public suffers due to jam-like situation caused by parking of vehicles on the road side. Smt. Raje said that private hostels, paying guest facilities were being operated in several localities of the cities like Jaipur, Kota etc and the officials should be alert enough to ensure that anti-social elements do not use these places as hideouts.

The CM further appreciated the innovations – such as automated traffic e-challan, payment of challan through e-mitra, traffic updates through whatsapp, facebook and FM radio, use of social media for interaction between CLG members, door-to-door verification app for tenants – adopted by the Jaipur Police Commissionerate. She said that such noval ideas must be adopted by other police districts and be publicized amongst the public. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law & Order, ADGP Intelligence, ADGP Crime, Inspector Generals of all Police Ranges, Commissioners of Police at Jaipur and Jodhpur and SPs also gave presentations during the conference. On this occasion, the Members of the Council of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Chairpersons of various Commissions, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, senior administrative and police officers of were present.
