New OBC Creamy Layer Income Ceiling 4.5 Lakh

There is new OBC Creamy layer and N0n-creamy layer Ceiling Range suggested by central govt. Acting on a Government directive, the NCBC has obtained suggestions from commissions from 20 states on the income ceiling of the creamy layer and is in the process of getting similar views from other eight states. Most of the state commissions have recommended revision of the income limit for creamy layer classification from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.

This is definitely bad news for non-creamy layer OBC people who really need OBC Status. what did you think this is good decision or bad. please share your view.

  1. hi dear,
i must say this is a good decision. keeping in mind that this income limit only implies to private sector wrkers or businessman or professionals. this income limit is not there for sons or daughters of farmers and govt employees.there are separate rules for them which can be seen on ncbc website.in the 92 judgement it was clear that clause VI f creamy layer will be subjected to change on the basis of inflation and consumer index.
