Rajasthan may be possible terror target: Chidambaram

Home minister P Chidambaram warn state, saying the Centre has enough intelligence inputs to believe Rajasthan is possible target to terrorism. Chidambaram is now days in Jaipur for a meeting with chief minister Ashok Gehlot to review the security in the state. “Rajasthan is a broad state that has a history of terrorist incidents. It is important to be extremely vigilant especially since its has 1,037-km international border with pakistan.
Chidambaram expressed satisfaction that Rajasthan had either implemented or begun work on most of the suggestions that emerged during the conference. The state was also lauded for having formed an anti-terrorist squad (ATS), a counter-intelligence cell and an emergency response team. Chidambaram also talk about force in rajasthan and need of 2000 more police personnel in rajasthan.
