Dress code for Colleges in UP, ban Jeans

UP Colleges are looking to ban jeans in colleges. Principals of many colleges in UP are bring a proposal to ban students from wearing jeans on college campus and implement dress code. However, any final decision would only be taken after consulting students, and their parents and guardians as per officials.

Moreover, the step would also check display of 'indecent clothes' worn by some of the college students." Four colleges in Kanpur issued an order, prohibiting girl students from wearing jeans on campus, and claimed the move will check incidents of harassment. Dayanand Degree College (DDC), Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), Sen Balika College (SBC) and Johari Degree College (JDC) have ban students from wearing jeans. While colleges students are showing protest against any such rules. If this proposal will be done it will affect 400 degree colleges of UP.
