First cut off out at Delhi University(DU)

First cut off at Delhi University(DU) is out now. B Com (Honours) continued to be the most sought after course in Delhi University with the cut-off for admission into the programme remaining over 90 per cent in major colleges. The first cut-off, which was released tonight, showed that the cut off for B Com (Hons) in Sri Ram College of Commerce ranges between 95.25 to 98.75 per cent followed by Kirorimal (94.25-98.25). The cut-off for the course in Lady Sriram college is pegged at 95.25 per cent, while in Hansraj it is between 94.25 to 96.25. In Hindu College, the cut off for the course is 94.75 to 97.75, while in Ramjas it is between 94.5 to 97.5. Ramjas has registered an increase of two per cent in comparison to last year.
The cut-offs in the major colleges have not increased substantially as feared by most of the applicants due to higher percentage of pass-outs in the CBSE and ICSE exams. The first phase of the admission in the 60-odd affiliated colleges will start from tomorrow, the university authorities said. The DU offers about 49,000 seats for its undergraduate programmes this year for which about 1.3 lakh students have applied.
