The Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University Jaipur, Rajasthan is established under the Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University Act 2008 (Act No. 17 of 2008), passed by Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and notified through Government of Rajasthan, Extraordinary Gazette Notification on 21st April, 2008. The JV Women's University is sponsored by Jyoti Vidyapeeth Trust under the flagship of Garg Gyan Universe, a Non- Profit Education Public Trust established under Trust Registration Act 1908 (Central Act No 16 of 1908) in office of Sub Registrar-Jaipur-II, Jaipur Rajasthan.
