Rajasthan government will recruit 5,000 police constables

The Rajasthan government will recruit 5,000 police constables and the process for the purpose will begin soon. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who also holds the Finance portfolio, had accorded the requisite financial sanction to the Home Department's proposal for the purpose, an official spokesman said here last evening. The recruitment was being made against the announcement made in the State Budget for 2009-2010. The recruitment, to be completed in phased manner till next year, would fill around 2100 newly created posts and around 2850 vacancies due to be created by the next year, the spokesman said.
