Mount Abu called off from 8 February

For those heading for Mt Abu to spend some quiet moments, the hills may not be the best destination in the comings days. In protest against the ministry of environment and forest decision to declare Mt Abu an eco-sensitive zone, the Jan Sewa Samity, along with hoteliers and shopowners, have called for an indefinite bandh from February 8. The Jan Sewa Samity is an organisation of local residents who are fighting against the decision. During the bandh, hotels in the hills will not accommodate guests while most shops and places catering to tourists will remain closed.
