Resident Evil-4 to be released in 3D version

The success of James Cameron's sci-fi blockbuster 'Avatar' is encouraging more and more filmmakers to make movies in 3D with 'Resident Evil-4' becoming the latest entrant to catch up with the technique. "The fourth instalment of the popular Resident Evil franchise, will be the first movie after Avatar to use James Cameron & Vincent Pace's patented Fusion Camera System, the world's most advanced 3D technology," Sony Pictures said in a statement.
The film titled 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' written and directed by Paul W S Anderson, sees a world ravaged by an infectious virus and victims are turned into the Undead. In the film Alice portrayed by actress Milla Jovovich continues her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. As a deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation escalates, she is helped by an old friend Claire Redfield played by Ali Larter. The film, which will hit theatres in India on 10th September 2010, also stars 'Prison Break' star Wentworth.
