Jaipur to get more CCTV Cameras

Crowded markets of the Walled City area of Jaipur will get more CCTV Cameras for security. In an ambitious project which is likely to be completed by July, the government has ordered to install 39 new CCTVs in the Walled City in addition to existing 20 ones. The entire system will be equipped with Wi-Fi system and it will replace the existing system of wire connectivity. “The project has been sectioned and is expected to be completed in the next three months,’ said SP (north) Ashok Naruka. He said that 20 CCTVs have already been installed. Sources said maintenance of the 39 Wi-Fi enabled CCTVs in the city will be taken care of as the annual maintenance contract (AMC) will be part of the work order. The 20 CCTVs earlier installed at Gangauri Bazaar, Hawa Mahal, Ramganj, Chhoti Chaupar, Tripolia Bazaar, Badi Chaupar and Heeda Ki Mori have been non-operational due to lack of maintenance. Hope this time govt will make some high tech arrangement and maintenance.
