Royal Rajasthan on Wheels extended to Varanasi

The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, the newer super swanky version the of the popular Palace on Wheels luxury train, plans to add the holy city of Varanasi to its list of destinations. But not until later next year. Starting from September 2011, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels will arrive in Varanasi early on Friday mornings. Passengers will get to see an unforgettable sunrise over the ghats, evening aarti ceremony by the Ganges River, and other local sights during the day. The cities covered in the itinerary of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels include Delhi, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Agra. If you want to visit the country's most iconic destinations in style, the new itinerary of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels really can't be beat.
Sharma, along with RTDC chairman-cum-managing director Dr Manjeet Singh, was on a two-day visit to the city. They held a meeting with the officials of UP Tourism to discuss the plan and also watched the grand Ganga Arati on Monday evening. "We have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UP Tourism to provide better facilities to the visiting tourists," he said. According to him, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is a step ahead of the Palace on Wheels, which ranks among the top luxury trains of the world. As compared to the Palace on Wheels, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels offers more amenities to its passengers. More modern facilities have been introduced in this train to give passengers a feeling of royalty. The 82-seat capacity train has 22 royal compartments with two super deluxe and 39 deluxe suits with other facilities like bar and library.
