Friday prayer of Ajmer Urs attended by Pakistani pilgrims

About 125,000 pilgrims from various parts of the country on Friday attended the Juma namaz on the 798th Urs of Moinuddin Chishti here in Ajmer. Thousands of hands went up in unison wishing peace and prosperity and desiring good monsoon this time in the country. Pakistani pilgrims attended the namaz with other devotees.Long lines of devotees were seen during the prayers. Attending the Friday prayers in Ajmer at the time of Urs is one of the fond desires of every pilgrim. To control the crowd the district administration deputed 17 zonal magistrates.
The long queue of devotees stretched from the dargah to Delhi Gate, Dhan Mandi, Naya Bazaar, Madar Gate, Station Road and nearby areas. The pilgrims who were inside the dargah at the time of namaz felt lucky. To attend the Friday prayers in Ajmer, thousands of devotees reached Ajmer last night. The annual event culminates with readings from the Quran and special prayers.
